2020/21 Autumn-Winter Match Series Results
Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic meant only a single match of the season was possible, details are below.
Winkton October 22nd
A welcome tinge of colour from Wednesday’s rain encouraged members to expect good sport, though the flow rate passing through Winkton sidestream remained low on a day of weak sunshine, light showers and warm conditions. Catches were generally modest making for a close match between the ten competitors. Mick Haskell pegged right at the top of the sidestream in the open field won the day (10lb 14oz) taking some nice roach up to a pound and a half, though a little handicapped by the strong wind and minnows. A couple of pegs downstream John Perry had a similar bag (7lb 14oz), with Dave Perkins completing the frame (6lb 2oz) pegged opposite the house and distracted by feeding pike. Before the start Marek and John Perry expressed everyones appreciation of Dave organising the match with Committee approval. The upcoming Thursday matches alternate between river and lake venues with details and booking arangements in the website ‘Match Section’.
