As we all wait like coiled springs to get back on the banks we want to remind you of our spawning fish policy. The welfare of our stock is paramount so this remains unchanged from previous years, with the policy backed at previous AGMs. Hopefully this warm weather inspires the fish to crack on whilst the government lockdown is in place.
“The committee reserve the right to shut ANY water to protect ANY species of fish that we feel will be at risk whilst spawning. When any water is closed it means that no members are allowed on the bank for any reason, be it to fish for other species, bait up, observe the fish etc. When any water is closed suitable signage will be placed on the access gates to the fishery. It will also be posted on Facebook and the website. At the discretion of the committee a decision will be made as to when a water shall reopen. At least 24 hours notice will be given by posting on Facebook/our website. No members will be allowed on the water until the specified opening time.”
