Brief description of fishery:
This very attractive stream runs for approximately half a mile as an offshoot of the Hampshire Avon.
Although relatively shallow and weedy in the summer months, when the colder weather and higher main river levels arrive it can provide superb sport from fish seeking shelter out of the main flow.
Dace, chub and roach are the dominant species along with the occasional trout and grayling. Perch pike and barbel are also free to access the stream from the main river and are occasionally reported.
This was originally a trout stream which was regularly stocked with brownies by the club. However, the lack of control over flow levels we currently have has seen this stocking suspended. We are therefore allowing coarse angling throughout the traditional coarse season and excellent sport has been reported as a result.
