Annual Membership
Christchurch Angling Club membership is open to everyone and runs from the date you join for 365 days. This gives a full 12 months of membership allowing you to fish any of our venues during the daytime with up to two rods, whatever time of year you join.
We have the following membership options available:
- Full member
- Full member concessionary (Over 66 and in receipt of state pension)
- Full member disabled
- Migratory member
- Junior member 14-17 years with non angling guest
- Junior under 14 years with non angling guest OR free if accompanied by a full member parent/ guardian
All full and junior memberships include salmon and sea trout fishing on the many venues where we have migratory fish angling rights (on the Hampshire Avon, Dorset Stour and Frome). Alternatively, migratory fish membership is a standalone option for those wishing to fish for salmon and sea trout only.
There are a range of membership add ons available if you want to night fish our venues, use a third rod, bring a non-angling guest, your dog, a guest for a day’s fishing or go trout fishing at our put and take Trout fishery at White Sheets.

Membership information
We use Clubmate to manage all our memberships and we recommend you add the Clubmate App to your phone. This will enable you to easily manage all your membership details, keep your profile and preferences updated, renew membership or purchase additional tickets/ add ons and quickly prove your membership to any of our bailiffs. The Clubmate app can be downloaded here, Android or Apple.
WE NO LONGER ISSUE MEMBERSHIP CARDS, CAR PERMITS OR PRINTED MAP BOOKS, YOUR MEMBERSHIP DETAILS AND MAPS ARE HELD ON CLUBMATE.
Printed Map Books – If you want a printed copy of the map books, these can be purchased (covers cost of printing and postage) from the Online Shop on the clubmate app.
Membership Add-ons
Members can add on permissions like a season night permit, use of a third rod, a non-angling guest permit, or a dog permit.
Season night permits – a Season Night Permit (SNP) that covers 12 months of night fishing and a 3rd rod permit (where applicable).
River only season night permit – If you only want to fish the river venues at night, then a more cost effective option is to purchase a river night permit.
Third rod (Day only) – If night fishing is not for you, but you like to fish three rods, then you can purchase a 3rd Rod Daytime Permit.
Non-Fishing Guest – Should you wish to have a non-fishing guest accompany you on your fishing trips, members may include a non-fishing guest in their membership; this covers our insurances.
Dog Permits – Members can purchase a dog permit to take their loyal friend to a selection of our waters with them. Dogs are currently allowed on the following venues:
Hucklesbrook Lake
Holtwood Pools
Ibsley Pools
Spinnaker Lake
Wedgehill Ponds
Sorry no dogs are allowed on any river sections.

Night, Guest and Trout tickets
Members have the option to purchase a single night fishing ticket, invite angling guests, or acquire tickets for both members and guests to fish and take trout from our White Sheet complex. These tickets can be obtained through the Clubmate app, online, or at local tackle shops.
Single night tickets – Members without a season night permit can pay per night to fish at our Lakes and Ponds with night fishing available.
Guest Tickets – Guest tickets for coarse and migratory fishing are available for all our waters apart from:
- Spinnaker Lake
- Hucklesbrook Lake
- Upper Winkton
- Tincleton
White Sheet Trout Tickets – The White Sheet Trout Fishery includes three stocked trout lakes. Members can purchase tickets according to the number of fish they plan to take. The available options are:
- Take 2, 3, 4 or 5 fish from any lake
- Sporting – take 2 fish from any lake then catch and release top lake only
- Morning/ Evening Catch and release top lake only
Holiday Membership
We offer 7 and 14-day holiday memberships for those who visit briefly or have limited time to fish. These include full fishing rights on all waters, with night tickets bookable like annual members. If you upgrade to an annual membership within 4 weeks, the holiday membership fee will be deducted.
- 7-day membership: £70 (adults), £20 (children)
- 14-day membership: £90 (adults), £20 (children)
Payment Options
While our club membership offers great value, we understand the fees can be significant. To make it more affordable, we offer various payment options, including a monthly plan that spreads the cost over 12 months. This makes the monthly fee similar to a day ticket.
PLEASE NOTE THE 12 MONTHLY PAYMENTS ARE A CONTRACT FOR A FULL YEAR MEMBERSHIP AND CANNOT BE CANCELLED

NOTE: For new members, the Direct Debit option is available for Full Membership only. All Membership Add Ons must be paid in full. On Renewal all Member Add Ons payable by Direct Debit will be available.
