Introduction to Christchurch Angling Club

Welcome to Christchurch Angling Club. We offer a range of river and stillwater fisheries for the beginner, experienced and specimen angler. Our stretches of the Rivers Avon and Stour are renowned for their specimen Barbel, Chub, Roach, Dace and Pike. The Rivers Avon and Frome offer Brown trout, Grayling, Sea trout and Salmon. Whitesheet is a put and take Rainbow trout fishery where a variety of day tickets are available to members and their guests to purchase. We also have Stillwater fisheries that contain 40lb plus carp, double figure tench and bream as well as some excellent pleasure and match fishing venues packed full of fish. We also have a dedicated Club Facebook page where members may share their views and experiences.

Club constitution

Christchurch Angling Club is a trust operating under provision of the Trustees Act 2000.

1. The purpose of Christchurch Angling Club (the Club) shall be to obtain waters for members to fish in and generally improve the sport of members.
2. To promote and protect the best interests of anglers and angling in general.
3. To hold competitions, and social activities for Club members.
4. Where possible to instruct and encourage young persons in the sport of angling.
5. The Club is a non-profit making organisation. All surplus monies are used to maintain or improve the Club’s facilities.
6. Membership of the Club shall be open to any person paying the relevant joining fee and subscription.
7. The Club will be affiliated to the Angling Trust and will adopt the rules and codes where appropriate. Members are encouraged to join the Angling Trust as individuals.
8. The business of the Club shall be conducted by a duly elected committee which shall consist of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and such other members as are necessary to carry out the business of the Club.
