River Frome at Waddock Farm

Brief description of fishery:

A mile long stretch of prime middle Frome single bank chalk stream fishing, situated less than a mile downstream of our Tincleton Fishery.

The stretch offers some of the best brown trout and grayling fishing on the whole river.

From April to mid October, the river is strictly fly fishing only, and only traditional fly fishing tackle and methods can be used.

From mid October to March specimen grayling the main quarry, and coarse fishing methods are allowed. To preserve the fish, we are asking members to only float fish for the grayling and not to use leger or swim feeders.

It is quite a walk to the upper reaches from our car parks. Members are encouraged to travel light and enjoy a roaming approach.
