Hucklesbrook Lake

Brief description of fishery:

Hucklesbrook Lake is a six acre gravel pit that holds an excellent head of carp to over 30lb and tench into double figures. There is also a large head of silverfish with both roach and perch over 2lb present.

The venue has well established banks and large, cut swims making access very good and the fishing comfortable. The flat path around the water makes the use of a trolley easy. There is plenty of parking space and toilet facilities at the venue. The venue is gated and has a wildlife fence making it very secure.

There are many features on the bottom and a large island but don’t ignore the deep, tree-lined margins where many fish patrol. Float fishing in the margins has produced some excellent Tench catches and there are dedicated day and float swims ensuring there is space for all types of angling.

In addition to the general club regulations, the following apply to this venue.

Special Regulations

  • No heavy baiting, spodding or spombing with particles, small quantities maybe be used around hook baits only e.g. a single catapult pouch or small pva bag.
