The carp at Hucklesbrook began spawning today (Saturday 29th May).
In line with recent years, this means we have closed the lake with immediate effect.
On average, closures have been for 10-14 days in recent years. Night bookings over the next seven days have all been cancelled. We will continue to monitor the water daily and advise in due course on a targeted date for re-opening.
We are also keeping a close eye on our other waters for fish starting to spawn and will be operating a similar, dynamic response on these venues.
